Just thought would write down some random thoughts.
Thinking of changing my profession. Its not that I dont like my work. Actually I love my work, enjoy doing it, would love to carry it home too. But then someday I think I will change it. Who knows life is too long to decide right now, its the starting of my career. I also have a chance to work on so many new things and am enjoying it too.
But then who knows where life takes you. I may go and be a writer, but then for that I would have to keep blogging regularly so that I get a jist of writing. Right now I just blog when I get a fit to write and write whatever comes in my mind. It may be my thoughts, what I feel or any random stuff.
Then there are other things too that I would love to do. Like go white water rafting, haha dont know even if that is right. I dont know how to swim but then you are given life jackets, so I will be safe. Climb mountains, have done that a lot. Learn cycling, driving, etc.
I dont like to speak much so cant take up being a trainer as a profession. Then I am not too good at people skills, so wont go into Human Resources too.
Can think of finance as an option, dont know much about it but then you can always learn.
Consulting is one thing I really wish to do, and then if I go for it I need to master my field which I currently plan to do. So will stick to my profession till I can.
At the same time keeping all options open and mastering the one I have at hand.

Reminisence
Posting after more than a month . Did not get time to post so thinking to clear all backlogs today( actually tonight) itself.
Well I did not come to know how the month passed by. The weeks just fly and the weekends get over just with the blink of an eye. How I miss college, my friends, my class, my batch, juice bar, birthday parties, hostel everything back there.
Whatever goes seems to be the best part of your life. When I left school it felt like leaving my home and going to an alien land. Now after leaving college it feels even worse. Those days were the best days of my life( that song's really something). I still havent come over it. I miss all my friends and my college a lot. And miss them more as here you cant have a friend, dont know how to put it but its tough to handle and I dont think I can handle it. Well will have to.....I guess college life is to be missed.
I always have such thoughts and now cant get what to write....though had thought would write a lot but now I dont know what to write.

80/20 principle
It says that you spend 20% of your time on things that yield 80% of the result.
I guess I spend about 30% of my time on orkut or gmail. So will i get results from there. Hehe ;)
But a great book, a must read. A must buy too.

Created an id yesterday on this networking site.
It is networking site but i think more of a blogging site where you can also have communities.
Has a not so good interface, takes a little time to load.
But then it gives you an option of the jukebox, just pick the songs you want to listen. Add them and you have the option of listening to them while browsing. No need to keep the songs on your PC. Listen to them from the site. Cool.
You just cant select a playlist when listening while browsing, so you have to go to the site and pick the next song. Or may be i have not figured out how to work with that ;)
Overall a cool site, still got to evolve a lot. I still love Orkut.
Like it for the jukebox ;)

Disguised monsoon -- Mon(a gate to a temple or castle)+ soon
Ah finally the rains are here. It has brought a respite from the scorching heat.
The temperature had risen to 46 degrees. Their was no respite from the scorching sun.
And then it rained in the nearby areas and the temperature came down. We could then enjoy the morning breeze as well as the evening walk.
Then the monsoon showers blessed the city. What a respite and it was a joyous time. People started enjoying the rains. They would enjoy the rain falling on them.
Soon the rains started flooding the roads and traffic became a problem. Almost all the roads were flooded and since the roads had potholes maneuvering the cars became a problem. One tire would enter one pothole hidden under water and the others would be in some other.
Commuting became a food digesting exercise.
And then it stopped raining but since the clouds were there the humidity rose. Unlike a rose it made the atmosphere sticky and unpleasant.
The city has many big malls so people flock there and enjoy the weekends there, weekdays are spent in the office, playing office office.
Its July now and the weather is bound to stay the same till end of August.
Till then its spending the days in the Office and weekends in the malls. In between are parties and commuting to the office.
And the day passes by................

The weekend that was
Had decided to sleep till late on Saturday but could not sleep after 8 a.m. So got up, made a little breakfast for myself.
Then started reading the paper and watched some T.V.
My uncle was supposed to pick me up so was waiting for his call. And then at about 1 p.m. got a call from my cousin that she was coming to pick me up, as my uncle was sleeping.
Then I took a bath and was ready to go by 3. She finally reached by and we were off to her place.
They had already made a plan for the weekend and got about three movies to watch.
After chatting for some time started watching movies.
The first one that we started watching was Bheja Fry. It was nice funny movie.
After that we went for a drive on the Delhi Jaipur highway. Had our dinner at Mc Donalds and also packed something for the night.
We reached home by 10.30, just missed a little part of the a music show on SonyTV(dont remember the name). Appreciated most of the singers, and enjoyed the show.(At home I would never watch these shows with my mother)
Then after the show was over began the second movie Life in a Metro. Liked the movie. It had a mix of characters and there were different stories which were somehow interlinked.
Then at about 1.30 a.m. finally went to room to sleep.
Then my cousin and I started chatting and lost track of time. By 3 she said we must sleep now. So we switched off the light and started chatting again.
Finally slept at 4.
I asked her not to put any alarm so we could sleep till late. We knew no one would wake us up as in their house everyone sleeps till late.
My dad called me up at 7 in the morning and all I told him was that I am sleeping. He called up again at 8 and then I told him that since I slept at 4 so I cant talk right now.
Got no more calls after that. Kept sleeping till 11.30.
Then got up and had some fruits. Decided that we would have lunch at about 2 and went upstairs to watch the third movie.
But then started reading the newspaper and were just changing channels.
Then when my uncle and aunt were up we decided to have lunch. Had a nice lunch and then went to our room to get ready as I had to come back to my PG.
My uncle meanwhile went to The Sri Ram School to drop his son for a rock concert in the school.
My cousin and I got ready and went to a market to get some stuff to make a nice dinner. Had some snacks there and reached back a by 8.
Then we made some dinner and had it.
By around 10 it was time to pick my cousin and drop me home. So my uncle first dropped me. It was about 10.30. Just when I reached the door of my place I realized that my keys were in my purse, that I had left behind at my uncles home.
I called him up and he had not gone far so he came back.
We decided we would pick my cousin first and then we would go home to pick my purse.
So we went and picked him up. Met a big traffic jam on way. Then we dropped him home and got my stuff and drove towards my PG.
On way we stopped at a Mother Dairy booth and had ice cream.
Finally I reached home by 12. Was too tired and fell off to sleep in half an hour.
Had a fun filled weekend and I know the next one will also be similar.
Then started reading the paper and watched some T.V.

Hi, how are you?
Ever wondered why people say this?
"How are you?" is a conversation killer question. Still when you meet people they will always ask you the same question.
It makes the other answer a futile question and sounds as if the one asking the question does not have anything else to talk about.
Now if a very close friend of mine asks me this question, it will not create a comfortable environment to have a conversation in. My friend would know how I am and can easily make it out from the tone of my voice(if talking over a phone) or my facial expression.
The same goes for family.
Now at a workplace too its not a nice question to greet your co-workers with.
What happens is after some time instead of saying "Good morning, have a nice day" you start saying "Hi, how are you?" or "I am good, how are you?".
The greeting like "Good morning" or "Have a nice day" cannot be said after asking someone "How are you?" as it is question and it will need an answer. Today no one has the time to continue a conversation like that. They just meet people for something like 5 minutes or even less. So it would be better to make the best of that time and say something to the other like "Good morning" or "Have a nice day" rather than begin questioning him.
But I know tomorrow will be another day and I will greet someone saying saying "Good morning" and the reply I will get will be "hi, how are you?", so my day begins answering someones question. I too will after some time get out of my present habit of saying "Good morning" or "Have a nice day" and say "hi, how are you?".
The only good thing about this greeting is that it can be said at any time of the day. Even if you meet your roommate or flatmate right before going off to sleep. You would not even have to change it a little, the other one would change at different hours of the day.
So until I too get into the habit of saying "Hi, how are you?" ..........
"Have a nice day" till then

Dead for the day
Dead tired for the day.
Today learned that sleep is very important, eight hours of sleep every day is very important.
Got to learn a whole lot of stuff, forgot some too(may be more than some), but then finally did learn somethings that were new.
Here you don't get time to Njoi your labor that you have to move on.
Now its time to go back. I have to go back with that irritating fellow, who thinks he is too witty and acts like a fool. Have to bear him in the morning too. And then on top of all this he works on the same floor, thankfully not the same team.
signing off for today...

Jargon
Second post of the day.
Even I at times have no idea what language I am talking in most times of the day. It changes so many times during the day.
Due to the .NET platform that we are using here, it generally is C#, ASP.NET and SQL. ;)
And then it is english at home, with coworkers it is Hinglish(spread the virus) and with the bhaiyas hindi.
I probably am writing all this because of the lack of sleep last night(slept for 1:30 hrs only) and also because my application takes too long to start.

Office officE
It has been 20 days at my first job and I still like it. The only thing I did not like earlier was the dress code was formal four days a week and casuals on fridays, but now i somehow like it.
Working in an office is quiet different from the college life. There life was more carefree and a lot of things were taken for granted, but here you suddenly are on your own. You have to be careful about your decisions, there wont be anyone on whom you can rely upon and many more things.
Well I have loads of work to do today and am still writing here.
More on Office officE later....
